“Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.” – Forrest Gump
Since childhood, travel has been part of my DNA. My first adventures began at the age of three, camping across Europe in the back of my parents’ car, back in a time when crossing into another country still felt like crossing into another world.
After many journeys with others, it was time to explore the world on my own terms. What began as a dream became reality when, at 25, I set off on a one-year backpacking journey around the world. From remote trails to bustling cities, I explored new cultures, landscapes, and inner horizons.
Over the years, I’ve explored much of Europe, Australia, North America, and parts of Asia and Africa. These journeys ranged from rugged solo trips on a shoestring budget to unforgettable encounters with luxury and exclusivity. Whether by car, camper, on foot, by bike, camel, boat or plane, alone or in the company of others, travel always gave me new ways to grow.
Years later, my love for endurance sports led me to combine physical challenge with meaningful travel: walking over 3,000 km to Santiago de Compostela, and cycling 7,000 km across the United States from coast to coast.
After these adventures, travel gained a new dimension. On these journeys I met the most wonderful people, and complete strangers were willing to help, whether it was food, a place to sleep, or when I was stranded in an emergency on the roadside, without expecting anything in return. I only had to ask, something I was not used to at home. I noticed that, although I was not religious, many of the people who helped me were, and I made new friends from above.
These experiences, together with the growing number of people who wanted to follow my journeys, shaped my vision for Spherox: a global community.
A place for all people who love to travel, whether it’s a weekend getaway, a mini-budget adventure, or an elite and exclusive journey. It all begins with an idea and a good story, my ultimate journey … OR MAYBE THERE IS MORE…..
The mission remains:
Dream as much as possible. Challenge myself. Explore the world. And a belief in my friends from above and in the kindness of people.
